Music Video for the song ‘Assassin’ from John Mayer’s Battle Studies Album. Inspired by the live performances of the song from John Mayer’s Current US tour, I’ve tried to Incorporate the onstage visuals and musical extensions of the song (found in the live shows) with the album version of the track. For me this is the most cinematic sounding track from the John Mayer collection and holds one of the more obvious and distinct themes. I had fun with it and this is my own visual interpretation of the song. The hardcore Mayer fans will probably notice a few of the subtle inclusions within the video. I hope you enjoy. Living in England i’m a little behind the majority of you guys with reading and responding to messages. The comments so far have been unbelievable. To have the first day of it being up on the net and recieve a comment from John Mayer himself was the best thing that could have happened. I would of never thought that would happen when making it. John if at all you get hold of this I would love to get the chance to meet you at one of your UK dates next month.
